If you want to join the BlinkenArea, you need a Wiki-account first. Please contact STephanKambor or StefanSchuermans with a brief report about your project or whatever you want to do. Then you will get your user name and a password. It is NOT possible to register at TWikiRegistration. You can subscribe to our mailinglist, to be always up to date. When you got your account, you can try out this Wiki by editing your user page: TWikiUsers. Enter informations about yourself and what you are doing or on which projects you are working. If this is your first time using a Wiki, have a look at TWiki User's Guide, everything you need to know, is described there.
Registered users can
change Passwords and
reset Passwords.
Some important advices:
Please edit a topic for each project, even if you are only leaving a picture there or maybe a link to your proper website. At least we have Wiki-words for every project, which we can use.
Please leave a signature on the bottom of every page, which you edited, in form of:
-- USERNAME - DATE
So that we have a responsible contact and know, who changed something and to whom the project actually belongs.
These Wiki-pages are developed in two languages. All topics should be available in German and English. It doesn't matter, if somebody is not able to translate his topic in both languages. Every registered user has the possibilities to edit pages. The Wiki lives from many active poeple. If someone sees a topic only in one language and is able to translate it, should do it, please. This goes also for correcting mistakes in any form. If you wish, that somebody translates your topic, please enter it here: PleaseTranslate page.
The header of the topics should always look the same. It is a table with space for the headline and at the right for the flag. You only need to copy the following and fit in headline and link.
Header for German site:
<table border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td align="left" valign="top">
<font face="MONOSPACE">
<font size="+1"> GERMAN HEADLINE </font>
</font>
</td>
<td align="right">[[NameEnglishSite][<img src="/pub/Blinkenarea/WebHome/flag.uk.gif" width="28" height="16" alt="(english)" border="0">]]</td>
</tr>
</table>
Header for English site:
<table border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td align="left" valign="top">
<font face="MONOSPACE">
<font size="+1"> ENGLISH HEADLINE </font>
</font>
</td>
<td align="right">[[NameGermanSite][<img src="/pub/Blinkenarea/WebHome/flag.germany.gif" width="28" height="16" alt="(deutsch)" border="0">]]</td>
</tr>
</table>
This is what the flag images look like:

We urgently have to advice you against using the MS Internet Explorer. Conceptual shortcomings, lapse in safety provision, as well as taking no notice of standards are making this browser simply unacceptable.
